Each individual responds differently based on their constitution. The sensations vary based on techniques used for different ailments. Some of the common descriptions are achy, dull, heavy, spreading, sublime, peaceful. During a dry needling or trigger point treatment patients have described feeling a “twitching, fluttering sensation.”
Should your insurance have out-of-network acupuncture benefits we will work with your insurance.
Currently all patients are seen in person.
Currently we ask that patients come to the office masked. Temperature and pulse oximetry readings are taken upon arrival. You do not need to call in from your car to come to the office. Touch surfaces are routinely disinfected. UV-C disinfection lighting is used to disinfect the air and surfaces in the treatment rooms between patients.
At 388 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove we are conveniently located on the corner of Bradford Ave & Pompton Ave, minutes from Montclair and Verona. There is ample parking in the lot behind the building. The building has elevator or stair access and our office is on the second floor, Suite 11.
Typically initial evaluations take 45-90 minutes. Follow up treatments are anywhere from 30-90 minutes depending on the issue at hand and the modalities being provided.

Acupuncture is mot commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is also being used for stress management and overall wellness.
